about us

We bring decades of

mission-ready experience

Fluid Marine is a commercial rigid inflatable boat building company proudly based in North America. With decades of experience in manufacturing and engineering, our expert teams conceive, build and sell premium large RIBs for law enforcement, commercial, and military use.

Our headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Franklinton, North Carolina, with a focus exclusively on providing high-performing Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIBs) for municipalities and commercial use. Previously headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Fluid Marine concentrates its work in these specific areas to provide genuinely exceptional specialized service.

Fluid Marine boats use Gemini Marine hulls, military-grade removable ORCA Hypalon tubes, and U.S. manufactured EPA/ABYC/USCG compliant components and structures. The result: reliable and safe RIBs that meet and exceed the demands of the North American marine market.

At Fluid Marine, we continuously work on improving our service so that we can find the best solution and be a reliable partner for all your boating needs.

Our Advantages are Everywhere

Unlike many of our competitors, Fluid builds production boats. This means our boats are all the same, with the same equipment, as opposed to custom boats built by competition. This offers you several key advantages:

  • Fluid hulls are engineered for superior handling, speed, and durability
  • Fluid tubes are manufactured with HYPALON, which is superior to PVC thanks to superior strength and performance
  • Fluid maintains hulls in inventory, ready to ship on short notice
  • Fluid products are designed and outfitted specifically for law enforcement and safety in the USA

Short build times

Our stock boats are built fast, so customers don’t need to wait 18-24 months to get their boat. Quotes for boats are sent out the same day instead of weeks later.

In-stock selection

We stock production boats, making them available fast, sometimes in as little as two days.

Ease of Maintenance

Our production model boats are the same across the fleet so boats can be shared during emergencies such as hurricanes or floods.

Value

Our prices tend to be lower than our competition thanks in part to to our highly efficient production boat model. We’re confident that in any head-to-head matchup, Fluid will be your choice.

Our production standards never take a day off.

Where you work, every day is a test. Our commitment is to pass that test without fail, every time you leave the dock.

Structure provides strength

Every Fluid Marine boat’s hull, deck, and structural grid are constructed through the process of resin infusion. Infusion is a method of filling catalyzed resin into an air-free, dry, porous material. Once the materials are positioned in the mold, a powerful vacuum draws in the catalyzed resin through a series of tubes. This high-quality method of construction produces a unified, reinforced, rigid composite.

Reproducible excellence

This reproducible method provides dimensional control, regularity of weight, ensures a low-resin high fiber content, produces the optimum strength to weight ratio, and allows controlled placement of fiber direction yielding the same result time and time again.

This process is more precise as compared to traditional hand lay-up processes due to the ability to control the amount of resin infused as well as the position of the dry cloth. The weight variation is minimal (roughly 1% to 2%), a performance which is impossible to achieve with hand lamination.

Making an impact

The combination of unidirectional E-glass, synthetic structural foam coring, and epoxy modified vinyl ester resin produces the strongest and most impact resistant laminate in the marine industry.
What does all this attention to detail mean to you? Simple. You have utmost confidence in your partner, every mission, every day.
